FFC President, Steve Kay, has created a beautiful challenge coin for FFC members.

A challenge coin is a small coin or medallion (usually military), bearing an organization’s insignia or emblem and carried by the organization’s members.  Having started in the military, they are given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale. The popularity of challenge coins are stretching past the military.  They are also becoming extremely popular with Police Departments, Fire Departments and Fraternal organizations.  In 2007, the Utah Symphony and Opera gave challenge coins to all of its staff and musicians, making it the first symphony organization in America to embrace the challenge coin tradition.  Coins do not have to be given to someone to be called a challenge coin, as many non-governmental organizations sell challenge coins as a fundraiser or promote their products or services.

The FFC challenge coins will be a wonderful way to promote the work of fire chaplains, and the Federation of Fire Chaplains.  They make wonderful gifts and of course would be a great trade for another person’s coin.  The cost of the coin is $5.00 plus $2.50 shipping and handling.  If you would like to order, please contact Steve Kay.

As you can see this site is temporarily under construction.  You will see the changes to the site over the coming the days and weeks as it’s being transformed into a bigger, better site for the Federation of Fire Chaplains.

For now, if you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email to wendy@firechaplains.org.  For general business questions and membership, please contact Ed Stauffer by phone: 254-622-8514 or by email at chapdir1@aol.com.  For education and Institute questions, please contact Bill Lotz at holismoke@msn.com.

We apologize the website mess right now but in no time at all we will have a cohesive, resourceful, and modern website that I am sure our members will enjoy.  So please stay tuned!
