Bill Lotz
Institute Director
Chaplain Bill Lotz is located in South Central Washington and works with fire departments in Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco. Bill works full time as a fire chaplain, recruiting and training volunteers who work alongside him in the ministry. He is also the director of the Chaplain Training Institute for the Federation of Fire Chaplains and is actively involved in chaplain training around the US. Bill would love to hear about your ministry, your needs, or just hear what is going on with you.
Jim Burns
Regions Director
Jim Burns is a Louisiana native. He is a retired pastor and public safety chaplain, serving fire, police and emergency services. His experience includes pastor, associate pastor, chaplain, education director, and producer/director of a large outdoor drama. In addition to his ministerial training, Jim is a Master Level Chaplain and Certified Instructor with the Federation of Fire Chaplains. He previously served as director of the Indiana Fire Chaplain Corps, Regional Director for Great Lakes Region of the Federation and director of the Great Lakes Fire Chaplain & CISM Training Institute. He holds membership in several professional associations and has received numerous awards for leadership and service. When not working with regional directors, Jim keeps himself busy doing training seminars for local businesses, churches, teaching fire chaplains and keeping up his new/old house (circa 1860). Jim and Susan have five children, seven grandchildren and a dog. They live in Colfax, LA.
Wendy Norris
Administrative Assistant/Webmaster
Wendy Norris is a master chaplain and instructor with the Federation of Fire Chaplains. She also serves as the administrative assistant and webmaster. Wendy has worked within the fire service since 1992 as a firefighter and then a fire chaplain. She is married to John, a Houston fire captain, and has one daughter.
